The Joe Horvath Memorial Scholarship Fund
Proceeds will benefit the Joe Horvath Memorial Scholarship fund. This fund provides educational assistance to individuals with proven academic records but financial hardship. Since its inception in 1996 the fund has awarded between 75 and 100 scholarships totaling over $300,000 to deserving students. Most have been college bound students but the fund has also helped high school and grade school students.

Joe Horvath was a native of Hell’s Kitchen and worked tirelessly for 35 years serving the children of his neighborhood. He was director of PAL Duncan Center on West 52nd Street, the street in front of which is now named after him. The scholarship fund honors his memory and his lifelong commitment to education.
